Under the general direction of the Division of Engineering Manager, this incumbent will administers the Architectural and Engineering (A&E) Contracts Program Manager and manage the three A&E Contracts Sections. Contracts are awarded pursuant to Government Code Section 4525 et seq. This incumbent will manage and supervise the activities of the Negotiations, A&E Contracts, and Invoicing and Contracts Management Training sections that support the A&E Contracts Program. The A&E Program is a Department-wide enterprise that will require the incumbent to coordinate frequent review of A&E Program to determine customer satisfaction and continued compliance with rules and regulations. As the A&E Program manager, the incumbent will also oversee Department A&E Contract training and specifically ensure DOE’s A&E contract’s needs. As such, the incumbent may be required to travel to field locations which may require driving a personal or state vehicle on and/or off road.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience managing a program that affects a Department-wide organization, working with both external and internal partners as well as experience promulgating procedures, policy, or contract language as well as experience in change management and continuous improvement principles.
