About Our Client Our client is a multi-million dollar manufacturing organization that has been rapidly growing over the last few years. Due to the expansion they are looking to bring on a strong Cost Accountant to their organization to standardize cost methodologies and grow with the business.
Job Description - Develop and maintain product cost models, ensuring accurate standard cost updates.
- Analyze production costs, material usage, and overhead allocations to identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage inventory valuation, reconciliation, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate reporting and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare detailed cost reports to support month-end and year-end closing.
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis related to cost and inventory performance.
- Implement and improve internal controls for cost accounting and inventory processes.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership for cost reduction and operational efficiency.

The Successful Applicant - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or a similar environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of GAAP and costing principles.
- Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach.
