TRC’s client is a leading food manufacturer looking for a Facilities Coordinator to join their team on a full-time, direct hire basis in the Mebane, NC area.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee facility safety and ensure compliance with company safety procedures and practices.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify safety, health, and environmental risks; address concerns accordingly.
  • Ensure that material safety data sheets are updated, maintained, and readily accessible when needed.
  • Support the Facilities Department with management of external contracts, vendor performance audits, scope of work review, and government audits (city, state, and federal).
  • Coordinate Facilities activities and schedules; research and propose solutions to unique Facilities requests, demonstrating proficiency in general business procedures and capability of prioritizing workflow.
  • Assist the Facilities Department with project implementation, ensuring consistent communication and collaboration with all departments on existing and future project details.
  • Manage utilities (e.g., electrical, boiler, water, compressor, HVAC, wastewater system, recycling, etc.) including vendor / contractor communications, agreements / scope of work, and overall business plan while being conscious of sustainability, cost, and quality.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field 
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing / production facility; preference shown to experience within food / beverage
  • Prior experience working with boilers and wastewater systems
  • Experience evaluating vendor performance for contract execution and continuous improvement
  • Exceptional analytical thinking, organization, planning, and implementation skills, with ability to work effectively in both collaborative team-based environments and independent environments with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to motivate and lead by example
  • Experience in regulated environment (e.g., SQF, FDA GMP, USDA, etc.) is a plus, but not required
