Job Title: Foreman Job Description

A finish carpenter installs, repairs, and fabricates interior woodwork and decorative elements in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. This includes trim, doors, cabinetry, molding, stairs, and other detailed components. The role requires accuracy, craftsmanship, and the ability to read plans and complete high-quality work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Install interior trim such as baseboards, casing, crown molding, and wainscoting.

  • Hang interior and exterior doors, including hardware installation.

  • Build and install custom cabinetry, shelving, and built-ins.

  • Install stair components such as treads, risers, handrails, and balusters.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.

  • Measure, cut, and shape materials using hand and power tools.

  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and fits within project timelines.

  • Repair or replace damaged woodwork.

  • Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in construction and carpentry.

  • Expertise in finish carpentry and cabinetry.

  • Experience with installation and door installation.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.

  • Skilled in using hand and power tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
