SOAZ-Req #8616 – AZASRS – Technical Services Division (TSD) – Java Developer (Local Only / Onsite / Contract to Hire)

The Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join the Technical Services Division. The successful candidate will contribute to software development projects that enhance business operations and improve online services for members.

You’ll work within an Agile Scrum team (4–7 members), collaborating on projects involving online payment processing, intranet web applications, and modernization of legacy systems. The environment promotes continuous learning, cross-functional collaboration, and a strong DevOps culture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications.



• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.



• Participate in sprint planning, development, testing, and releases.



• Implement and maintain DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment.



• Ensure code quality through testing and code reviews.

Required Skills

• 
  5+ years of hands-on Java development experience

  Spring Framework (must be clearly listed on resume)

  Oracle Database (must be clearly listed on resume)
