Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a contract position with our client located in Durham, NC. Looking to kickstart your engineering career? We have an exciting contract opportunity for an entry-level Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic team working on innovative solutions in the veterinary medicine device space.
Salary Range: $30.00/hour to $36.00/hour. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Manufacturing Engineer job responsibilities include:
Develop and revise complex 3D models, assemblies, and drawings.
Manage engineering changes and Bills of Materials in PLM systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and adhere to industry standards (ASME, ANSI, IEC, IPC).
Desired Qualifications:
AAS/AS/BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
04 years of engineering experience, ideally in automated machinery design.
Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
Familiarity with fabrication techniques, GD&T, and PLM systems.
