PEPI: Director, Operations Group Aerospace, Defense, Aviation & Space

Join Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice to deliver large, complex client engagements for aerospace, defense, and aviation portfolio companies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage timesensitive performance improvement projects, structuring plans and overseeing execution.
• Drive datadriven insights, synthesizing findings and making strategic recommendations to clients.
• Implement operational recommendations, working directly with clients.
• Apply deep functional expertise in cost transparency, margin management, pricing, product rationalization, sales & marketing effectiveness, S&OP, supply chain, operations productivity, organizational effectiveness, process improvement, SG&A cost reduction, working capital and cash management.

Professional Skills

• Strong written, oral, analytical and Excel/PowerPoint skills.
• Sharp data analytics and structured project management skills.
• Initiative, drive, critical thinking and ability to deliver results ontime under pressure.
• Client relationship building and flexible creative thinking.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• 10+ years relevant work experience.
• Previous professional consulting/operations experience with a recognized strategy consulting firm required.
• Flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Depth in aerospace, defense or aviation preferred.
• Recent project leadership experiences.
• Experience working with private equity and/or PE relationships a plus.
