Pharmacy Technician – Temp Opportunity | Portland, ME | $19.22–$24.88/hr


Full-Time | 100% Onsite | Monday–Friday | Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8–4:30 or 8:30–5


We’re supporting a well-known healthcare organization in Portland, ME that’s adding three Pharmacy Technicians to their growing team. This is a great chance to step into a stable, structured pharmacy environment—no retail rush, no chaotic walk-in traffic, and very minimal face-to-face interaction. They’re open to candidates with little to no pharmacy experience as long as you’re dependable, detail-focused, and eager to learn.


This is a back-office pharmacy support role where you’ll help keep prescription operations running smoothly. Your day-to-day may include:

• Updating and maintaining accurate patient and prescription records
• Handling basic inquiries on medication pricing, availability, and coverage
• Using sound judgment to route clinical questions to a pharmacist
• Assisting with data entry, order processing, inventory, and shipping
• Collaborating with internal medical staff through the EMR
• Following all pharmacy and privacy regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Maine Pharmacy Technician License (must be obtained before starting; takes ~2 days, $62 cost to candidate)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong multitasking and communication skills
• Nice to have: prior pharmacy, medical, or administrative experience.
