The Recreational Therapist provides therapeutic recreational activities and individualized assessments for elderly participants, supporting their physical and mental well-being. This role involves interdisciplinary care planning, event coordination, and documentation to promote active, independent living for older adults in a community-based healthcare setting. The position requires relevant certifications, a degree in Recreation Therapy, and experience working with elderly or disabled populations.

$5,000 hiring bonus for eligible external candidates that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
The Recreational Therapist provides a variety of therapeutic social, recreational and diversional events for participants. Conducts individual assessment to identify the participants' individual interests/needs. Develops and implements an appropriate variety of individual and group activities. Participates in interdisciplinary care planning. Coordinates the recreation documentation for her/his assigned group of participants. Leads facility-wide participant-centered events.
