The Cloud Engineering team is looking for an Engineer who will be responsible for developing and supporting Observability on Amex Cloud Platforms.

• Perform technical aspects of software development for assigned applications including design, developing prototypes, coding assignments and working with API specs and automation


• Work with agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation)


• Delivers solutions to businesses worldwide


• Debug software components and identify code defects for remediation


• Leads the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments.


• Identifying opportunities for adopting new technologies

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science with Computer Science or an alternative major with relevant software development experience.


• Familiar with Agile Software Development


• Expert level skills in core Java Platform.


• Familiar with Kubernetes and other Cloud technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior industry experience in devops for a Java based application or platform


• Prior experience in Observability tools


• Prior experience of Kubernetes, Terraform, Prometheus


• Experience with micro services architectures


• Hands on experience with Java Frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot


• Understanding of Java concurrency

Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
