Title: Supply Chain and Logistics Supervisor

Reports to: Director – Operations & SCM

Location: Denville, NJ

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Supply Chain & Logistics Supervisor to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations within the chemical industry. This role demands deep expertise in logistics, regulatory compliance, and global supply chain strategy. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of progressive experience managing complex supply networks, hazardous and non-hazardous materials, and cross-functional teams.

Role Purpose:

Lead, manage, develop and implement supply chain strategies to achieve business objectives. To drive international and national logistics movements, inventory management and optimizing transportation and distribution network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning & Execution
  1. Formulate overall strategy for Supply Chain Process aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Partner with internal & external stakeholders to drive organization objectives.

• Logistics & Inventory Management
  1. Lead logistics function in Americas via rail, road, sea, intermodal, etc.
  2. Drive S&OP and warehousing management systems.
  3. Monitoring & ensuring compliance within various statutory and audit requirements.
  4. Cultivate relationships with vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure superior service delivery.
  5. Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics service providers, domestic and international.

• Service Excellence
  1. Enhance Quality objectives by monitoring measurables for effectiveness.
  2. Implement corrective preventive action plans.
  3. Provide logistics plan on timely basis to ensure availability of finished goods as per Customer requirement. Review the same on a real time basis.
  4. Publish metrics on performance to leadership at agreed upon frequency.

• Leading Team
  1. Establish, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team that achieves established goals while delivering optimal results, added value, and ongoing enhancements.
  2. Establish departmental goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), regularly evaluating and assessing the performance of the team as part of overall strategy.

• Process Improvements

• Streamline logistics processes to meet customer and company requirements, focusing on cost improvement projects.

1. Implement and lead digitization projects in logistics to enhance efficiency.
2. Adopt & recommend advanced logistics technology solutions to improve operational processes.

Educational qualifications preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field
• Certified APICS CSCP / CPSM /CPIM/CLTD are a plus
• Knowledge of contemporary supply chain software and tools would be added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Global trade regulations and compliance
• 10+ years of experience in a logistics or supply chain management role within the chemicals, manufacturing, consumer goods industry.
