\n\n\nCertified Surgical Tech Part Time Days Position Summary
\n\n\nCertified surgical technician providing intra-operative support. Assists the surgical team by acting as the primary scrub person who handles the instruments, supplies and equipment during surgical procedures. Maintains constant vigilance for the maintenance of the sterile field. Prepares operating rooms for surgery, using appropriate techniques. Provides technical services and assists in other areas as assigned and directed. Participates in department performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. Call is required for this position - must reside within 30 minutes of facility.
\n\n\nTHE CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECH PART TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
\n\n\nMinimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent GED for all current employees. Completion of formal education/training to obtain a Certification as a Surgical Tech.
\n\n\nMinimum Experience: Thorough knowledge and experience in operative procedures, equipment and instrumentation.
\n\n\nPreferred Experience: Two years of hospital surgical experience.
\n\n\nRequired Certifications/Licensure: Certification as a Surgical Tech. CPR.
\n\n\nSpecial Skills: Excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills.
