WILDLIFE MITIGATION BIOLOGIST II

DFWRC WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

NATURAL RESOURCES DEPARTMENT POLSON, MT

The successful applicant is required to have a Masters degree
in the field of Wildlife Biology or Wildlife Management, with
specific coursework in mammal and bird identification, plant
identification, wildlife ecology, statistics (including advanced statistics coursework), plant ecology, and general wildlife
biology. Direct experience in research design, data entry and statistical analysis, compilation of scientific research reports is
essential. Given the demands of the position, the Wildlife Mitigation Biologist II must possess the ability to clearly analyze potentially difficult situations and react quickly in a calm and
professional manner in public settings. Proof of eligibility for
professional certification by The Wildlife Society is desirable.
Ability to operate motor vehicles, including motor boats, nets, traps, 4x4 vehicles, all-terrain vehicles and communications equipment. Must be able to perform physical labor such as
planting, handling captive animals, and lifting. Must be able
to supervise and review the work of others. Must have a valid drivers license. All applicants are required to submit a Tribal Employment Application (Resumes may be submitted but may not replace or supplement the official Tribal Employment
Application), copy of relevant academic transcripts and/or
certifications, copy of valid drivers license, if applicable, please submit proof of Enrollment in a Federally recognized Tribe, if other than CSKT, and if claiming Veterans preference, a copy
of DD214 must be submitted. This position is not a testing
designated position (TDP) within the definition of the CSKT
Drug Testing policy. The successful applicant, if not already
employed by CSKT, must pass pre-hire drug test and serve
a mandatory six (6) month probationary period. FAILURE
TO SUBMIT ALL OF THE INFORMATION ABOVE WILL
RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION DURING THE SCREENING PROCESS. Salary range $30.82 to $35.42 per hour (Including Benefits: Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement,
Long-term Disability, and PTO & Paid Holidays). To apply,
