Job Description

Be the Leader Who Makes a Difference

At The MedEquip Shop , we don’t just sell medical equipment — we help families live more comfortably, independently, and safely at home. From hospital beds to lift chairs, mobility scooters to oxygen concentrators and CPAP Machines, our products directly impact people’s lives in meaningful ways.

We’re looking for an inspiring, hands-on Store Manager to lead our Houston retail location. This is not a “back office” role — you’ll be on the floor daily, setting the tone, motivating your team, and ensuring every customer receives a premium, white-glove experience. If you thrive on people leadership, building strong teams, and hitting ambitious sales goals, this is your opportunity to shine.

What You’ll Do

Lead the Team & Drive Results

  • Own the store’s sales performance: set daily/weekly targets, monitor KPIs, and coach your team to meet or exceed them.

  • Lead by example on the floor: model discovery conversations, product demos, and confident closing techniques.

  • Hold daily huddles and weekly one-on-ones to align, motivate, and develop your team.

Deliver a Premium Customer Experience

  • Ensure every customer is greeted warmly and guided through a consultative discovery process.

  • Resolve escalations quickly and empathetically; turn challenges into loyalty-building moments.

  • Guarantee smooth same-day delivery and installation scheduling with accurate orders and clear communication.

Oversee Operations & Compliance

  • Manage opening/closing, cash handling, deposits, and reconciliation with precision.

  • Coordinate with the warehouse/dispatch team to ensure staging, deliveries, and pickups are seamless.

  • Maintain store standards: ADA compliance, cleanliness, loss-prevention, and safety.

Merchandising & Presentation

  • Keep displays clean, powered, and demo-ready at all times.

  • Execute seasonal floor sets, feature top sellers, and ensure pricing and signage are always accurate.

  • Drive attachment sales by spotlighting bundles, accessories, and protection plans.

Develop the Team

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new associates.

  • Train staff on POS/CRM systems, customer service routines, and follow-up standards.

  • Create a culture of accountability, feedback, and continuous improvement.

Community & Outreach

  • Build local partnerships with clinics, senior living facilities, and referral sources to grow traffic.

  • Represent The MedEquip Shop at local events and initiatives as the face of the store.

What You’ll Bring

Required

  • 3+ years of retail management experience with proven results in sales growth and team development.

  • Strong leadership presence — comfortable coaching on the floor and managing performance.

  • Excellent communication skills and customer-first mindset.

  • Proficiency with POS and CRM systems

  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred

  • Experience in high-consideration or specialty retail (medical equipment a plus).

  • Knowledge of delivery logistics and in-home service coordination.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

How Success Will Be Measured
  • Sales Targets & Conversion Rates

  • Average Ticket & Attachment Rates

  • Customer Satisfaction (reviews & referrals)

  • Operational Accuracy (cash handling, orders, delivery staging)

  • Team Engagement & Retention

Compensation & Benefits
  • Compensation: Competitive base salary plus monthly performance bonus.

  • Schedule: Full-time, on-site leadership role with rotating shifts (including weekends).

  • Benefits: PTO, paid holidays, 401(k), employee discount, and growth opportunities.

Why Join Us

This isn’t just another retail management job. At The MedEquip Shop, every sale makes a real impact on someone’s quality of life. You’ll lead a motivated team, help families in moments of need, and grow your career with a company committed to service, quality, and community.
