We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Simpsonville, South Carolina. This contract position is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in preparing individual and business tax returns. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely tax filings while providing exceptional service to clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual and business tax returns efficiently and accurately.

• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial documents and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

• Utilize Drake or other tax software to streamline the preparation process and manage tax-related data.

• Analyze complex financial information to identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with applicable laws.

• Provide guidance and support to clients regarding tax matters, addressing any inquiries or concerns.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure accuracy in all filings.

• Review and verify tax documents for completeness and accuracy before submission.

• Work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines and handle multiple client cases.

• Support the team in enhancing overall efficiency and improving processes related to tax preparation.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation, specifically handling individual tax returns.
• Proficiency in using Drake tax software or similar platforms for efficient tax filing.
• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them in real-world scenarios.
• Experience managing both individual and business tax returns is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively under deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently while maintaining high productivity.
